News Round-Up

Hellenic League side Kidlington, one of the 18 teams left in the FA Vase, have announced ground improvements so that they can seek promotion this season. The fourth placed team are to spend £27,500 on two new turnstiles, 50 extra seats, and new toilets and hospitality areas for supporters and club officials.

Local councillors have rejected a £10million development to include a new stadium for Basingstoke Town. The National South side wanted to build a new 5,000 capacity stadium and training facilities on Council land, with the Council saying that it expected the club to remain on its current site and that no Council land would be suitable for a move.

Salisbury face Nuneaton Griff, one of only two Step 6 sides left in the competition, in the FA Vase on Saturday. Most of the replays for the Fifth Round ties are scheduled for next Saturday, with only the Bulls' potential second game with Hartley Wintney scheduled for midweek.

Telford have confirmed they have ended striker Danny Glover's contract 'by mutual consent'. The move comes after the former Worcester man turned out for a Sunday League side in breach of FA rules. Ex-Bull Waide Fairhurst has left Torquay by mutual consent. The former Doncaster man expressed a desire to return closer to his Yorkshire roots.
