Alvechurch manager Ian Long has said that Hereford are the team to beat in the Midland Premier League.
Long's team recorded a 4-0 victory at another of the promotion contenders Heanor Town last Saturday.
"For the first 25 minutes we were unplayable and thoroughly took control
with the two goals," said Long.
"It was like putting a knife through the heart of
Heanor's chances!"
Alvechurch are six points below Hereford but would move above them if they took at least seven points from the three games they have in hand over the current leaders.
"The pressure is all on Hereford and they are such a big club, that it
would be terrible for them if they didn't win the league this season," said Long.
"We
just need to make sure everyone remains at the top of their game and
we'll see what happens."
The two clubs are yet to play each other this season.
