News Round-Up

Dover have announced that they have called in Police after a routine audit of the club accounts found a 'five figure sum' had been misappropriated. The club are not commenting further until the Police have investigated the matter, but chairman Jim Parmenter told the press he was 'devastated' at the news. Later reports said a woman had subsequently been arrested.

Coventry Sphinx manager Luke Hopkins says he expects to make three or four new signings after losing faith in his misfiring side. Hopkins, who has been in charge for three years, claims his side should have beaten Heanor on Monday night, instead losing 4-2 with the final goal 'a fluke'. Hopkins will target a finisher as his main acquisition, but also hinted at new defenders after he claimed Heanor's 'wardrobes' bullied his central defenders.

Chester say they rejected a request from Eastleigh to speak to manager Steve Burr over their vacancy last week. The Spitfires later named ex-Bull Chris Todd as manager. Chris Sharp made his Salford City debut last night against former club Colwyn Bay after being released by the Welsh side last week.

Lye Town have signed defender Dom Smith from Hinckley. The 25 year old was a regular for the Step 6 side last season but has had an injury limit his appearances this term.
