FA Vase Tie Tomorrow

Hereford FC will play their first tie in this season's FA Vase tomorrow at fellow Midland Premier side Bardon Hill.

The club had a bye in the first qualifying round, so are entering at the second qualifying round stage.

Bardon Hill defeated Coventry Copsewood in their first qualifying round tie.

Whoever wins tomorrow's tie, or any replay, will be in the draw for the First Round Proper of the FA Vase which takes place on Saturday October 31st.

The final takes place at Wembley on Sunday May 22nd. The FA Trophy final will also be played at Wembley on the same day.

Hereford FC manager Peter Beadle is keen to progress in the competition.

"The Vase is a competition we want to do well in. There is a fantastic bonus at the end of it, a game at Wembley," Beadle told BN.

"There's no bigger carrot than playing at the National Stadium so we want to do as well as we can in that competition."

Hereford will be without both Rob Purdie (injury) and Adam Page (cup-tied) for the game. Sol Wheatley was subbed last Tuesday evening with a lower back twinge but manager Beadle hoped he would be fit to play.

Should the scores be level after extra time then the replay will be at Edgar Street next Tuesday.
