Birch Has Five Stiches In Head Wound

Hereford FC nidfielder Aaron Birch who kept playing for the all ninety minutes of yesterday's game at Boldmere later had five stiches in his head wound.

A picture released this morning shows the player with the stiches.

Birch received the knock just ten or so minutes into the game and was treated by physio Jony Evans.

Manager Pete Beadle thought Birch should come off as a precaution but the midfielder wanted to continue playing.

"Credit to him as he didn't want to go off, he wanted to stay on and he's got a fantastic goal to show for it," Beadle told BN.

"Topped off by a very good performance by him."

Birch scored Hereford's second goal of the afternoon with a strike from just outside the penalty area.
