Alvechurch manager Ian Long has called for more supporters to back his side.
The Church are fourth in the Midland Football League Premier table, having won seven of their eight league games so far. But, Long admits, their home attendances have been poor with just 52 watching their last home match having seen nearly 100 to their opening match of the season, their only League defeat. Long told the Redditch Advertiser:
"We get a hardcore of about ten fans who follow us home and away but when you see how big crowds help clubs like Hereford I would love to see a few more fans come in.
"The attendances started off very well but we lost the first game of the season and I think the fans thought 'more of the same'. But we've won seven matches in a row and are playing some good football, so I hope they can come down and support the lads."
Alvechurch face Coventry Sphinx at home on Tuesday night, while second place Long Eaton travel to Sporting Khalsa. Third place Heanor travel to Continental Star on Wednesday night.
