Westfields won 2-0 at Loughborough with goals from ex-Bulls Marcus Palmer and Craig Jones. Highgate won 3-0 at Quorn with strikers Lei Brown and Shane Benjamin both netting.
Tuesday's opponents Stourport won 2-0 at Rocester, while AFC Wulfrunians had probably the surprise result of the day, winning 3-0 at fancied Alvechurch with ex-Bull Jake Sedgemore, now 36, netting the third. Shepshed won 3-1 at Continental Star with Jake Duffy scoring twice. Long Eaton beat Coventry Sphinx 2-0, and Heanor Town won 2-1 at Boldmere. Bardon Hill and Walsall Wood played out a 1-1 draw.
