"It was good to come back, I was looking forward to coming back," said Bowen.
"Scored two in a few minutes but it wasn't fair to celebrate.
"Just good to come back and see everyone.
"I've been keeping in touch and now they've started again it's good.
"The crowd today and the crowd against Manchester shows it means a lot to people, good to see it."
Bowen was asked if his Dad would be pleased
"He said he was pleased, he doesn't give much praise out but said he was happy for me to score two goals.
It's Bowen's second year at Hull.
"I've settled in well so this year I've got to push on."
Hereford FC manager Peter Beadle then tried to 'disrupt' the interview so Bowen was asked if he felt Beadle was the right choice for the job.
"Yes obviously, people played with him last year and he's brought them back in.
"I think they'll do well this season. They showed today that they've got some quality on the pitch."
