United in the Community Students get a coaching master class
United and the Community Education students last week had the chance to be coached by some high profile coaches. The students were invited to go down to Newport South Wales to see some world class facilities at the Dragon Park the home of the Football Association Wales Trust. The coaches were all candidates on the UEFA A Licence Coaching Course.
The UITC students were players for the sessions which gave them great understanding of the type of coaching that occurs at the top end of the game and what would be expected of them if they ever wanted to become a professional coach. Former Players David Ginola, Frank Sinclair, Phil Babb, and Thierry Henry are currently part of the FAW A Licence along with many other former professional footballers.
Education Tutor - Adam Jones - stated that this was a unique opportunity for the students and a link that can hopefully be explored more in the future.
Places are still available for the Football and Education Course within UITC for the academic year 15/16 which starts in September.
