Flackwell Heath have announced they have turned down a place in the Southern League 1 South & West division after being moved from the Central division. They say the cost of the new division is prohibitive, with their travelling distance more than doubled, and they plan to stay in Step 5 instead.
Torquay have appointed Paul Cox as their new manager to replace Chris Hargreaves. Cox won the division with Mansfield but was axed last November. Eastbourne have resigned ex-Bull Gavin McCallum for the coming season. The Canadian joined the National League South side last summer.
