The Football League are altering their insolvency rules at this weekend's AGM. The deduction for clubs entering Administration will become 12 points instead of 10, and any Administrator will have to speak to the relevant Supporters Trust to give them a chance to bid for the club. The new rules will also mean a further penalty of 15 points deduction imposed the following season if a club fails to pay back at least 35p/£ to creditors.

Torquay have been accepted into the rebranded National League (formerly the Conference) after a meeting with the league today. The consortium led by Commercial Manager Dean Edwards is reported to have paid the five-figure bond requested by the league, but Edwards has called for more people to back the group financially so that they can challenge for promotion.

Ex-Bull Craig Stanley has signed for Lincoln City on a one year deal. The midfielder, now 32, left Aldershot after two seasons earlier in the summer.
