Some supporters have already expressed their opinions on the choice of away shirts for the forthcoming season impressions of which were released earlier today. As ever views vary but the general consenus so far is of slight disappointment.
Normally football clubs order new shirts for the forthcoming season in February/March time but in the case of Hereford FC that hasn't been possible.
And as it's so late choice is much more limited. But that will not be the case in the future.
"In year two we will look to go down the bespoke kit route but we simply
do not have the time for this season," said Hereford FC commercial manager Chris Ammonds.
"Especially with several million
other things to deal with just to ensure we do actually have a stadium
to wear the kit at!
"Most teams have their
shirts/kits selected by February or March at the latest, whereas we have
had since 1 April full stop to start getting this sorted, including
negotiating with manufacturers.
"We not only have to look at kits that are sensibly priced, but also ones there is a decent amount of stock of as we want people to have the option of buying replicas for the summer if they want to.

"Having looked at the previous sales of replicas
achieved by HUFC, our initial order for replicas will be around the 500
shirts mark so we have to take that into consideration when choosing
designs at such short notice too.
"I appreciate everyone has an opinion on what is a nice shirt and what isn't, but it really is not as simple as that choice being the done deal once you're going through the process.
"For example, everyone involved in the kit process for HFC pretty much disagrees on which shirt we should wear."
