News Round-Up


Former Bulls loanee Tom Barkhuizen has left Blackpool and signed for Morecambe on a two year deal. The 21 year old made 27 appearances for the Tangerines over five seasons, but only eight starts. Former Bulls loanee Paul Downing has signed a new deal with League One Walsall. The 23 year old has spent three years with the club, making over 120 appearances.

Enfield Town say that their appeal to the FA will be heard on Monday. The Ryman League play-offs have been delayed until the matter is resolved, and Enfield are reported to have offered to not appeal the decision to allow the promotion place to be decided.  Guiseley and Boreham Wood have been promoted to the Conference. Guiseley beat Chorley 3-2 to win Conf North promotion, while Boreham Wood beat Whitehawk 2-1.

The Conference are reported to have reversed an earlier decision to allow 3G surfaces in the top tier of non-league football next season. At least one club has now halted work to convert their ground after receiving word of the change in the past week. Clubs had voted in favour of the move, but it being reported that the FA have advised the change of direction.
