Highground Maintenance have been awarded the contract to look after the Edgar Street pitch by Hereford FC.
When David Keyte became chairman of Hereford United he gave the contract to Mowtech which was run by Ian Pritchard.
However recently there were problems with payments and in last year's CVA documentation Mowtech claimed they were owed £18K.
After Keyte sold out to Tommy Agombar, Mowtech looked after the pitch for a short period of time after, apparantly, receiving some cash to do so. It wasn't long before they pulled out.
Recently Hereford FC put the pitch maintenance out to tender and three quotes were received. It's understood Highground's quote was the cheapest.
The HFA provided, free of charge, a FA pitch inspection which recommended a schedule of work. Highground's quote was in line with this schedule.
Highground used to look after the pitch when Graham Turner was in charge and he, along with manager Peter Beadle, recommended them.
Highground are based at Felindre, near Hay on Wye.
