Jon Hale, chairman of Hereford FC, thinks that the new club is 'going to have quite a journey' in the next few years.
Speaking on Talksport this morning Hale first went over how the new club was formed.
"On the last day of last season we went down to Aldershot, won the game and maintained our Conference premier status.
"In a matter of weeks the club had been taken over and the new owners deemed it not sensible to pay a bond that was being asked for by the Conference as there were already financial issues at the club.
"We were demoted to the Southern premier but on the December 19th due to all the promised monies not forthcoming, the club was wound up.
"Some months ago a group of us, all longstanding Hereford United supporters, pre-empted what was happening. The club was crippled by debt and we started some plans to look at a phoenix club should the club be wound up, of course it was.
"So we've pushed those plans forward now.
"We've recently taken on a five year tenancy of Edgar Street and Hereford FC has been born and we've started selling season tickets.
"So the club is rising from the ashes and the supporters have got right behind it.
"I think we are going to have quite a journey again."
What League will you play in?
"Whatever we get put at we start again, we must build a sustainable club with a fantastic supporter base behind it.
"They fought to save the soul of this club and moved on to save the ground as well.
"It's a real football family story this one."
Hale spoke about meeting one supporter last Friday.
"I met a supporter outside the ground on Friday. He got out of his car, he had waited patiently for me.
"He shook my hand and said 'I've been coming watching football for 66 years here and I'm just so happy I'm able to carry on'.
"Without the supporters we wouldn't have a football club kicking off in August and we're all tremendously excited about it."
