Swindon Town are to still face the High Court over their winding-up petition after a law firm attached themselves to the petition originally brought by HMRC. The club said they had settled the tax bill when the news of the Court action broke, and say the law firm debt is a personal one to owner Lee Power from the ownership battle with Jed McCrory.

The Football League have again rejected the use of plastic pitches. A vote in November was tied, with the League meeting last week again voting against the proposal. The League have also announced an increase in the 'solidarity' payments from the Premier League, but the exact figures have not been released.

A Grimsby Town supporter has been charged with assaulting a steward with an inflatable shark. The incident is reported to have occurred late into their win at Barnet at the weekend, when fans surged forward after a goal. The fan in question says he will deny the assault charge, adding that he may have accidentally struck the steward in the melee with the inflatable. Fans brought dozens of inflatables to the game.
