Harry Pell, the former Hereford United player, is now with Eastleigh FC. He has given a long interview to Paul McNamara about his career including some details relating to his time at Edgar Street.

Pell first came to Hereford on loan from Bristol Rovers at the end of January 2011 and signed a two year deal  in July 2011.

He was sold to Wimbledon in January 2013 for about £30,000.

On the recent troubles at Hereford Pell said:

‘It’s terrible.  I can’t believe what’s happened.  I don’t know the full ins and outs of it.  I don’t want to get too involved with it, because it’s just disappointing.  The time I had there, and the people I met, it’s horrible.’

The youngster made some good friends whilst with Hereford.

'I became very good friends with a director (Nick Nenadich) there.  He took me under his wing.  It was a really nice, family run club.  It had a great feel to it.  I loved going in and I loved being around Hereford.

‘When we went down to the Conference with Hereford, there were certain individuals you always knew would move on.  Obviously, Sam Clucas (now with League One Chesterfield via a fourteen month spell at Mansfield Town), Ryan Bowman, who scored on Saturday (for Torquay, in the visitors’ win at Eastleigh) – and Will (Evans, now Pell’s team-mate at the Silverlake), who was part of that team as well.'
