This from KM Promotions:
KM Promotions' Lewis Van Poetsch will fight on the undercard to Anthony Joshua's WBC International title bout against Kevin Johnson on January 31st.
Poetsch takes on former British and International Masters champion Luke Markham at London's O2 Arena on a show that will be screened live by Sky Sports.
The super middleweight admits he is in for a tough night against Markham, who is currently ranked 10th in the division, but is relishing the chance to showcase his skills on such a big bill.
"I am really looking forward to the fight and I love to fight on the biggest shows," said 24-year-old Poetsch. "The fight is going to be a tough one because he is a multiple British and International Masters champion and he is ranked 10th in the 168b division. But I will train hard and I will be in there to make it tough for him and retain my reputation as one of the country's top journeymen."
Poetsch is no stranger to fighting on television after his November 2013 clash with Curtis Woodhouse was shown live on Sky and the KM Promotions boxer is hoping to make another screen appearance on the 31st.
"Hopefully it gets televised like my fight did against Curtis Woodhouse. It's great to be able to fight on such a big bill and it's an added bonus to be able to sit ringside afterwards and watch Anthony Joshua."
Former soldier Poetsch is known for wearing his regimental colours into the ring but now his time with the army is over he will be wearing the colours of his beloved football club Hereford United, who were recently liquidised.
"As my time in the army is now over I am going to wear the colours of my beloved Hereford United. I play football for the Hereford United Supporters Trust and we are trying to get the club back on its feet and at the highest level possible, so for this fight I'm going to wear their colours."
Poetsch's fight against Markham will be contested over six three minute rounds.
