2,445 At Edgar Street For Last Home Game

2,445 fans flocked to Edgar Street three and a half months ago for Hereford United's last home game.

The 3-2 win against Alfreton Town, with local boy Jarrod Bowen netting the winner, set up a last-day escape and kept the fans dreaming of a bright future in the Conference with promises of fresh investment.

This Saturday, Hereford United entertain St Neots Town two divisions lower, in a stadium capable of holding just 1,000 people after the club parted ways with their experienced office staff who were capable of ensuring the ground was up to scratch in good time.

It is little over two years since 5,143 packed Edgar Street to capacity for the final League Two match of the season against Torquay.

That game against Alfreton had the Bulls, struggling at the wrong end of the Conference, as 15/8 to win. Currently, they are 7/1 to win Saturday's game with the only bookmaker willing to offer odds. St Neots are now 17/100 to take the spoils.
