The Hereford Times reports that the Council are preparing a report on the options they have to terminate the Edgar Street leases.
The paper (link) reports that Council leader Tony Johnson will be handed a report not before July 25th with options to terminate the leases. It has already been established that the Council have a right to terminate due to non-payment of rent, with the club still owing £65,000.
The paper also reports that, behind the scenes, the Council are frustrated that promises made by Agombar over payments have not been met, but they would make no official statement.
Councillor Jim Kenyon and others have repeatedly called for the leases to be terminated with immediate effect.
Meanwhile, a rumoured friendly game with Herefordshire League side Sinkums is reported to be merely that. Sinkums manager Tony Chadwick told the Hereford Times that the trialist side assistant manager Neil Phelps had spoken to their goalkeeper over a game but nothing was finalised.
The game was understood to be scheduled for tomorrow, but Chadwick says his side have not been given confirmation of the fixture and would be unlikely to play it at this late stage.
