This from HUST:
Dear Member,
The Hereford United Supporters Trust is to hold a Members Meeting on Thursday, May 22nd. All members are invited to attend.
The meeting will take place in Radfords Bar at Edgar Street from 7.30pm.
With David Keyte telling the Hereford Times that he expects to conclude a deal for the club within 10 days (ie. by May 18th), the meeting will be to discuss one of two possible options:
1. The arrival of new owners of the club, or
2. That the HUST bid is possibly the only offer left on the table.
The HUST board met with the Club Board on Tuesday where David Keyte requested proof of funds for HUST to be allowed to conduct due diligence, but he did provide HUST with some ballpark figures.
Having spoken to our advisers with both Supporters Direct and our local support team, we have reached the conclusion that the information provided is insufficient to create a sensible and sustainable business plan that will take the club forward into next season.
That sensible and sustainable plan is required by most of those making pledges to us for a bid in order for them to turn their pledges into cash, leaving us in a position of stalemate until accurate and detailed information is provided by the club.
The Board of HUST will continue to seek pledges and support for our potential bid, and would happily speak to the two sets of outside investors about their intentions and the future of the club while they consider their own bids.
