Club photographer Steve Niblett has thanked bidders on his auctions with the following:
An update on the Ebay auction fundraising to assist the HUFC office staff whilst salaries remain in arrears.
First of all I must qualify that any views expressed here are my own personal opinions, and do not necessarily represent Hereford United's or their staff. It's from a fan based view.
Legal stuff over, the response has been fantastic and so far the auctions that have completed have all been won by big HUFC fans (although cobbler Vince is only about 5' 4"). There's still a few more to finish and also where I have had duplicate items I have made second chance offers, so there's a likelihood that the £1200 raised so far will be exceeded by another tidy sum too. In fact I still have a few more rabbits in the hat and will pull them out as and when.
At yesterday's match I had two donations of 3 figure sums on condition that the donators remain anonymous, so thanks to Richard Price from Bolton and the other bloke too, or was it a woman, hard to tell really.
Many thanks to the ebay winners have paid within hours of the auction completing and the funds have already been delivered on to where it is intended.
It is sad that HUFC has got to this situation but we need to battle on and find a way forward.
Anyway, to leave on a positive note, Jarrod Bowen, what a goal, what a player, the youth are the future. See you at Aldershot with your peaked red caps.
Isn't Sheriff Fatman by Carter USM a great song?
Meanwhile Nibbo, who has not been paid for his professional services this season, has reinforced his objection to the continued presence of Stuart Blake at the club:
I want to state that if Stuart Blake is on HUFC premises at any future home match I will withdraw my services for that day.
