Bulmer's £10K Gives Extra Breathing Space Says Club Secretary.

The £10K given to Hereford United by Bulmers has given the club 'extra breathing space' says club secretary Lee Symonds.

The donation, which was confirmed this morning by Bulmer's parent company Heineken, means that the club are now only around £8K short of meeting the £78K required to pay the HMRC on Monday.

"We're very grateful for their support that was confirmed overnight," Symonds told BBC Hereford and Worcester.

"It just gives us that extra bit of breathing space.

"They realised that the football club means a lot to the city and the people of Herefordshire.

"They wanted, along with other people, to be in the forefront of helping the football club."

Symonds is hoping for another good gate tomorrow.

"We had a fantastic level of support last Saturday.

"An increased crowd just gives the whole place a lift and tomorrow we're hoping for the same again.

"The forecast is meant to be good so that should bring a few extra punters out."

Presenter Andrew Easton then asked Symonds when he last had a full months pay.

"I'm not into saying that really, I don't think it would be fair.

"We're all in the same boat here.

"We're all making sure that things tick along, everyone's drive and enthusiasm is still there irrespective of what hits the headlines.

"We are all focused on getting the club back on a stable footing."

Finally Symonds made this appeal to supporters.

"Come and support the Bulls, the Bulls need you now, please come and support the Bulls."
