Hyde became the first - and earliest ever - side to be relegated from the Conference as they went down 3-0 at Alfreton in tonight's game. The Tigers are 28 points shy of fourth bottom Southport with just 27 left to play for. Tamworth are five point adrift after losing 1-0 at Nuneaton, while Aldershot cut their gap to Southport to a single point after beating Chester 2-0. The Bulls margin is down to five points with the Shots' win.
At the top, Cambridge and Luton drew 1-1 in front of over 6,000 at the Abbey Stadium. Alfreton are a point behind the U's after their win, with Nuneaton a further point behind in fourth. Barnet are down to fifth despite not playing. Grimsby's point against the Bulls leaves them three points outside the play-offs but with four games in hand. Braintree beat Wrexham 3-0 to move up to mid-table and dent Billy Barr's hopes of the full time manager's job. Forest Green beat Salisbury 4-0 to cut their gap to the play-offs to six points. Kidderminster beat Macclesfield 2-1 to move up to ninth, and Welling's play-off dreams are still alive after a 2-1 win at Lincoln.
At the foot of League Two, Torquay breathed life into their hopes with a 2-1 win over Rochdale, cutting their gap to seven points. Northampton beat Exeter 1-0 to move within three points of the Grecians, with six points seperating them in 22nd place and 10th.
