David Keyte's horse, Harry Topper, may not run at Cheltenham in the Gold Cup on Friday.
The going is expected be too dry for the Hereford United chairman's fancied seven year old.
"Sadly Harry Topper's participation in this year's Cheltenham Gold Cup is
so ground related, and the weather forecast is not looking too helpful," said trainer Kim Bailey.
The forecast is for a dry and quite sunny week at Cheltenham. However on Tuesday in particular there may be a noticable east wind which will accelerate the drying out of the course.
UPDATE 6pm Monday: Harry Topper could run this coming Saturday at Uttoxeter
"The forecast is not looking particularly encouraging for us as far as Friday is concerned," Bailey told Sky Sports.
"If the heavens opened he'll run at Cheltenham, but that looks unlikely at this stage, so we've entered him at Uttoxeter.
"Considering the ground is soft, heavy in places at Uttoxeter, it looks more likely he'll run there."
