Barr: "Confidence Isn't There"

Wrexham boss Billy Barr has told the press that his side's confidence has disappeared since they won at Edgar Street at the start of the month.

Barr is possibly facing his final game in charge of the Dragons tomorrow night, and admitted his players were scared at the moment:

"The confidence isn't there at the moment, whereas the fear factor is. People who would normally try things, aren't. How do we change that? I said to them at half time, just try it, if it fails then so be it. Because if you don't try it, then that's as bad.

"We'll come in Monday, do our work and give it a right good go against Hereford."

Midfielder Mark Carrington also told the press they needed to 'stop the rot':

“If you look back at our recent performances it was only at Braintree where we let ourselves down.  Before that we got a good point against Kidderminster with 10 men and before that we were quite comfortable at Hereford where we bossed the game and put in one of our better displays.

“But we need to stop the rot and another win against Hereford will be a first step. Hopefully we’ll get the three points and open that gap up a little bit more so that we are not looking over our shoulders. It’s going to be a massive game on Tuesday and we’re already focusing on it."
