Burman Looks To Top The Mini-League

Dartford boss Tony Burman says there is a five team mini-league at the bottom of the table.

With Hyde 20 points adrift in last place, just three points separate the Darts and fellow strugglers Tamworth, Chester, Southport, and Aldershot before a seven point gap to 18th place Braintree. Burman wants to top the five team league to avoid relegation, and wants the Darts to continue their current form on Saturday, telling the local press:

“On Saturday we have to make the most of being at home and hopefully that will continue with the supporters and the crowd, because it could be a bad time to play Hereford.

“They are a full-time outfit. We are in for a tough game and I am expecting Hereford to have a response from the Luton game, so I am anticipating as tougher game as we have played.

“We have got to take each game one-by-one, but although we are only two points from safety, there is a little league that has started - and there are five teams in it.

“We have got to get to the top of those five teams, stay there and hopefully get higher.

“There is a long way to go and you are never safe until it is mathematically impossible to go down, however long that takes, which will be over the next couple of months.”
