Man City Very Expensive U'18's 3 The Magnificent Young Bulls 1 - Extra time + Summary

Similar start to the first half of the game, ball comes in from the right, and Ambrose finds space in the box to finish low beyond Moore.

Hereford had two quick chances to equalise. Williams sees a shot blocked before Bowen causes the keeper problems with a shot that bobbles up and he struggles to hold.

Cory then finds himself in acres of space with just the keeper to beat but his shot is low and wide. Great chance to equalise.

A shocking decision from the ref who has given a pass back when the Hereford player (I'm not sure who) was guilty of little more than miss-control. Pretty much air kicked it, it's spun back into Kyle Moore’s hands and the referee has given a pass back decision.

The resulting free kick has gone in at the back post but the original decision was laughable.

Half time in extra time 3-1

2nd half little of note though Hereford do force a couple of chances. Firstly a free kick on the city right is floated in and Max heads just wide then The Bulls force a couple of corners the first of which is easily cleared.

The second corner is won as 3 city players seem to go down with cramp showing how hard they have had to work for this win. Eventually the corner is whipped in but the keeper collects easily.

Another Hereford free kick this time awarded on the half way line after the city player was judged to have climbed over the Hereford man. But the free kick is cleared easily and it's city who attack. Forcing a simple save straight at Moore.

Then two more city players go down with cramp. 5 in the space of 2 or 3 mins.

With only a couple of mins left and all City subs being made they will have to carry on.

Final score Man City 3-1 Hereford United

BN Man of The Match (Both teams) Billy Murphy by a country mile.

The club and supporters of the first team can be nothing but proud of this set of players. And we all just have to hope that the club can find a way of running the youth set up next season.

A few of these lads are already showing signs of being on the verge of thefirst team and with more to come through the various age groups who knows what gems, may be found. If they havn't already.

Special thanks to Rodders for his coverage of tonight's game.
