Nuneaton Release French Striker Ahead Of Bulls Trip

Nuneaton have released French striker Richard Barroilhet by mutual consent.

The former Fulham trainee made only one sub appearances in the Conference in two weeks after waiting three weeks for international clearance. He is expected to return to France.

The Boro will have loanee Freddy Ladapo back in contention after 'administrative issues' were resolved in order to extend his loan for a second month. The 20 year old Colchester forward netted twice in two starts and two sub appearances with the club.

Out of the weekend game are defenders Gavin Cowan (ankle) and Simon Forsdick (knee), and striker Andy Brown (eye). Boss Kevin Wilkin fielded a near full-strength side in Tuesday's Birmingham Senior Cup match with Banbury, losing 1-0. He was critical of his side afterwards, telling the Nuneaton News:

“There are no excuses. With all due respect to Banbury, we should be beating them. It’s feasible that the team that played on Tuesday could start on a Saturday.

“People want a chance to shine but they’ve got to take it. The first half was awful. The second half we got in people’s faces more and made three excellent chances but their keeper has made one save all night, albeit a good one from Wes York.”

Prior to that game the Boro had won four successive matches, including a league and Trophy double over Alfreton, conceding just one goal in 360 minutes of football.
