News Round-Up

Former Bull Sam Clucas has been named the FA Cup Player of the Round after netting four goals in Mansfield's 8-1 win over St Albans. Clucas, who beat three other nominees to the prize, will be a guest of the FA and sponsors at the Final. In last night's FA Cup replay, Cambridge beat Bury 2-1 to set up a Second Round televised tie with Sheff Utd.

Fans of Hinckley United are to meet this week to discuss a fan-owned resurrection of the club. The Southern League side collapsed six weeks ago after several years of financial problems. The judicial review into Bristol Rovers' new stadium will take place in March. Work on the site has been held up since August due to the move by local residents.

Swindon have a new owner for the second time this year. Former footballer Lee Power, previously a director at Cambridge and Rushden and a suitor of Weymouth, says he paid £300,000 for the League One side. He says he has put £740,000 in so far this season, and expects to put another £400,000 to balance the books up until the summer.
