Cambridge boss Richard Money says fans have to remember that the U's were top of the table before star loanee Kwesi Appiah's arrival.
Appiah departed last weekend as their top scorer, but Money told the Cambridge News that the club had already done well without the Crystal Palace forward:
“I think people should reflect a little bit on the period before Kwesi arrived. We were top and there were other strike partnerships.
“We’re confident we can cope without him and it’s up to whoever now to step up to the plate.”
Money will be without Liam Hughes after the midfielder suffered concussion in last week's FA Trophy match, while the paper reports that there has also been illness in the camp this week.
Defender Richard Tait and midfielder Harrison Dunk are both expected to be in contention after both missed the U's last two games.
