Leadbitter Available For Forest Green Match

Leadbitter At Lincoln Last Month
Hereford United manager Martin Foyle will have at least one selection decision to make before kick-off against Forest Green Rovers tomorrow evening.

Right back Danny Leadbitter is available again after suspension but Foyle has played Dom Collins in that position for the last two games and may be reluctant to change personnel.

Leadbitter picked up his suspension after a water bottle squirting incident at Lincoln. It happened after a nasty challenge by Ben Tomlinson who was shown a red card for his efforts. Also suspended was physio Jonny Evans.

It's understood some Lincoln supporters goaded Leadbitter and Evans as they stood in front of the Co-op stand awaiting the referee call for Leadbitter to return to the game.

It's thought an incident of this nature would have only resulted in a one match ban for the two men.

The referee at the game, Jason Whiteley, took no action at the time so the incident must have been reported to the officials after the game or possibly to the FA by Lincoln a couple of days later.

The Lincoln match took place on November 23rd and Leadbitter played for the Bulls in the games on November 26th against Halifax and on December 7th against Nuneaton before his suspension came into effect.

It's not been revealed why there was such a long delay in announcing the bans.  However the fact that Chris Sharp was recalled from Lincoln to Edgar Street on December 19th may be connected. He had only started his second month on loan with the Imps eight days earlier.
