Martin Foyle has spoken to BBC Hereford and Worcester about Damon Lathrope and new signing Jamie Edge.
Lathrope is currently on loan from Torquay for a second month, but the loan is subject to a '24 hour call-back'.
As regards Jamie Edge, Foyle feels he could be one for the future.
"He's just getting petrol money," said the Hereford United manager.
"He's here two days a week and I've taken him from Hartpury College.
"So, let's don't get excited, let the lad get in the building.
"I'm trying to look one step ahead obviously with the problems we've got.
"So it's nothing to do with finance or anything like that, it's a body.
"He has got something and he's got the attitude to do well.
"He trained with us (last Wednesday), he's fit and he can top up his fitness levels."
