Former Bulls striker Adrian Foster has become Frome Town's new manager, leaving Gillingham Town.
Gillingham, based in the Dorset town, had recently shelved plans to apply for promotion to the Southern League despite being in second place in the Western League with Foster keen to progress.
Frome, who sacked former manager Brian O'Donnell on Saturday after losing their previous game 7-0, currently sit 20th of the 23 remaining teams in the Southern Premier following Hinckley's demise.
Foster, 42, had a brief spell with Frome as a player 10 years ago, telling the local press: “I felt that this was an offer I couldn’t turn down as it is a great opportunity for me to manage at a higher level, which is something I couldn’t do at Gillingham. I’m excited at the opportunity but gutted at the same time, as the Gills have been a massive part of my life for the last six years.
I’m leaving on a high though as the Gills are second in the league and they are a great group of lads who are playing some good football.”
