Ex-Bull Gowling Missing For Boxing Day

Former Bulls loanee Josh Gowling will be missing from the Kidderminster line-up when the Bulls visit on Boxing Day.

The former West Brom and Bournemouth defender played 13 times for the Bulls during the 08/09 League One season, but will not feature on Thursday after collecting his fifth booking of the season in Harriers' loss to Grimsby last Thursday.

Forward Amari Morgan-Smith and midfielder Callum Gittings return from one match bans, while fellow midfielder Jack Byrne isn't ready yet after a hamstring problem.

With the Harriers having lost their last three Conference games, manager Steve Burr told the club's official site: "We know the Christmas period is difficult but it is always an exciting time for supporters as they love the festive period with the local derbies.

"We're looking forward to Hereford but we have had a tough run of games and they don't come much tougher than the Boxing Day game - but I know how much the lads will be up for it.

"It was evident last year at this time last year when we'd just started to move into top gear with our performances and with the run that we went on with the addition of a couple of players which was a big help.

"We've lost ground, but we are still in there and we are by no means just looking to finish anywhere - apart from top.

"It will be a tall ask as Cambridge and Luton are going well but we are a club who wants to finish as high as they can, as we have done every year since I've been here."
