Mansfield boss Paul Cox says former Bull Sam Clucas will be out for up to eight weeks due to injury.
Today's club statement hints that a sale of Clucas, with the Bulls' due the proceeds of a 15% sell on clause, would be a welcome bonus in January to ease finances.
But the reigning Player of the Year will be out until February due to an injury picked up late in their FA Cup loss to Oldham. Cox told the local press: “We are just finding out if he needs a minor operation. He has damaged an ankle ligament and a bit of it has come away from the bone."
