Number four on the Bulls Advent Calender is Gareth Davies.
Possibly the most successful product of the youth team set up by Ian Bowyer, Davies debuted for the Bulls on April 7th, 1992, and totalled 116 League and Cup appearances before a £120,000 move to Crystal Palace.
Having collected a series of Welsh u21 caps while at Edgar Street, Davies' move was entirely expected and a long career was beckoning in the upper echelons. However injuries took their toll and, seven years after he left Edgar Street, Davies retired having not doubled his total career appearances from his Bulls stint despite having made the top flight with the Eagles.
Davies now works for the Welsh FA as a Development Officer, also assisting with the budding youngsters at Edgar Street when time allows. His dulcet tones are also often heard on BBC Hereford and Worcester, giving an honest opinion on games at Edgar Street.
