Bowman Warned On Discipline

Former Bulls striker Ryan Bowman has been warned to improve his discipline by boss Nigel Worthington.

The 22 year old has been sent off twice for York this season, meaning he has been suspended for seven games so far, but has netted four times in the four matches he has started. Worthington told the York Press:

“Hopefully, when he comes back, he will stay on the pitch because I have added it up and he has missed a third of the season. That situation is down to Ryan, not the referees’ fault.

“He’s still got to work hard and do what he needs to do for the team, but go about it in the right way and be careful.”

York have only recorded an own goal in the four games Bowman has missed since his most recent red card.
