Wright Waiting On Fitness Of Trio

Southport manager Alan Wright will wait on the fitness of a trio of players before finalising his side to face the Bulls tomorrow.

Forward Chris Almond and midfielder Aaron Chalmers are both near fitness after both have missed the past month. Keeper Danny Hurst will also face a fitness test after he needed sixteen stitches in a facial wound that saw him last just 15 minutes of their FA Cup loss last weekend.

Deputy David Stevenson replaced Hurst in that game to make his debut for the club, and started Tuesday's loss to Lincoln. The 29 year old former England youth international had a spell with Barrow last season without making an appearance.

Striker Nathan Ellington is already out for the Sandgrounders.
