Imps Set To Lose Defender Boyce

Highly rated defender Andrew Boyce is expected to leave Lincoln before the Bulls face them on Saturday.

Despite Brian Laws' sacking at Scunthorpe, the Iron are reported to be completing a loan move for the 24 year old today ahead of a permanent deal in January after initially having an offer for such a deal rejected last week.

Boss Gary Simpson confirmed the move to the local press after last night's FA Cup loss, telling them the mood in the Imps' camp wasn't great:

"It's not a very happy changing room at the moment as you would expect. We've conceded four and a five in our last two games and that was our strength.

"Saturday will be a strength of character and we will have to pick a team accordingly. It's vital we stick together because I know they'll come in for some pelters and I will too after last night. Rightly so."

Meanwhile, former Bulls loanee Richard Brodie has signed for Southport on loan. The 26 year old has not featured for Gateshead in any of their last five matchday squads, making just one appearance since his return north from Edgar Street. Southport boss Alan Wright told their official site:

"Richard Brodie is exactly what we require, he is an established centre forward, with tremendous experience in the Football Conference. He is a winner who wants games, he will be a major addition to the squad. I am delighted Richard has agreed to join us and he goes straight in  the squad for Aldershot on Saturday."
