News Round-Up

Gateshead boss Gary Mills has rejected the chance to speak to Forest Green about becoming their new manager. The Heed had already turned down the Gumpers' approach for Mills, with the former York boss saying he is staying in the North East for 'the right reasons'. Carlisle have posted a loss of £660,000 for last season, with turnover down by nearly £800,000. The Cumbrian side underwent a series of cost-cutting exercises over the first half of the year, and hope to break even this season if gates match last term's.

Wrexham boss Andy Morrell has blasted goalkeeper Joslain Mayebi after he failed to return from a short trip home to France. The 26 year old left last Monday and was expected to return ahead of the weekend, but Morrell was forced to use a teenage youth team keeper as substitute for their FA Cup match. Morrell says he will want to see proof of claims that Cameroon-born Mayebi was refused re-entry into the country over visa issues. Morrell says that midfielder Kevin Thornton will undergo an operation to cure an ankle problem, while out of favour winger Adrian Cieslewicz can go out on loan.
