Hereford United manager Martin Foyle admitted that the performance of his team this afternoon wasn't good enough. The Bulls went 1-0 down in the eighth minute after some sloppy defending and they were probably rather lucky to get an equaliser late in the game after Foyle had made two substitutions.
"That certainly wasn't good enough," Foyle told BBC Hereford and Worcester.
"I like to be organised shape-wise and there were a few just gone into ridiculous positions.
"When I made the changes, all of a sudden it looked like we had come back into the game.
"But if we don't hold the ball up it doesn't matter what formation we play.
"Is that the start of the season? Yes it probably is.
"I was probably a little bit anxious.
"There's a lot of learning to go on in this camp, it's a little different from last year where there was a bit of Football League nous.
"Fantastic support which we appreciated especially at the end."
