Rankine Is A Handful Says Lambs Manager

Michael Rankine In Control At Chester Last Week

Tamworth manager Dale Bedford will meet up with Hereford United striker Michael Rankine at Edgar Street tomorrow. The two meet pre-season when Rankine had a short trial with the Lambs.

"Michael’s a smashing lad," Belford told the Tamworth Herald. 

"He did well for us but we decided to go for Richard Peniket.

"I am sure Michael will be out to prove a point and he’s certainly a handful when he’s fit.

"But it’s about more that Michael. Hereford are a strong side full stop but we are looking forward to the test."

Bedford was in charge when the teams at Hereford met last season.

"We got thrashed there and it was possibly the only performance that I was disappointed with when I took over as manager.

"They are a big and strong side, very physical and they will cause you a lot of problems if you are not organised.

"So we have to make sure we are fully prepared and committed."
