Foyle Happier With Performance

A somewhat happier Martin Foyle spoke to BBC Hereford and Worcester after this afternoon's friendly with Cardiff City which the Bluebirds won 2-0.

"It was a good game," said Foyle.

"It was something I needed.

"People might look at the result again and say it's a defeat but not for me.

"Sometimes when you get tired you have to concentrate, you have to organise.

"I thought we had a good opening thirty minutes, some fantastic balls from Dan Walker down this right hand side caused loads of problems.

"But we've got to get on the end of them. We've got be a little bit more ruthless in that final third and in the box.

"I thought when Josh (O'Keefe) came on he gave us a few late runs going off Rankine and off Sam Smith.

"I've come away quite happy."

But not with Cardiff's goals?

"When that first goal went in it was so obvious he was going to cut inside.

"Players have to learn he's a right footer,  and he's come inside and got a cheap shot in really.

"After that we rallied again but then another sloppy goal.

"Frankie did well to get back but it's hit him on the shin and bobbled through, the lad's turned and a good finish."

Foyle used all five subs this afternoon. Included in those missing were Joel Edwards who is injuried and Sam Gwynne who played for Westfield.

"If everybody is fit and strong I think there will be a bit of competition."

Foyle says he can't wait for next Saturday and the visit of Braintree who he had watched today.
