In this morning's friendly against Pegasus Peter Beadle's
youth team recorded a 5-0 win with goals coming from Cory Williams (2), Cory
Saunders, Jarod Bowen and Max Kontic.
Later, Bulls' Director of Youth Beadle was quick to highlight
the warm welcome that had been provided by the Old School Lane club.
" We were made very welcome and it was a great game of
football."
"It's so important to maintain our links with local football," continued Beadle.
"This season we've sent sides to Leominster, Wellington and,
now, Pegasus and we are keen to provide opportunities for local players to
progress."
"This season's youth set-up has seventeen players at present
and of those nine are locally based."
"If players are good enough and want to pursue a career in
the game then we want them to do it here at Edgar Street."
