News Round-Up


Salisbury have put assistant manager Mikey Harris in temporary charge after Darrell Clarke left the club last week. A club statement says he will be in charge for two weeks while interviews are held for Clarke's replacement. Dartford have signed defender Matt Fry for the coming season. The 22 year old signs from Concord Rangers, but spent the 11/12 season with Bradford after loan spells with Gillingham and Charlton while a trainee at West Ham.

SPL side Hearts have confirmed they are to go into Administration with debts of £25million. The Edinburgh club are expected to incur a 15 point penalty, with most of the money owed to companies associated with bankrupt owner Vladimir Romanov. Kidderminster have signed winger Dior Angus from Solihull Moors for the coming season. The 19 year old, son of former pro Terry, played more than 30 times for the Conf North side last term. 

Southend have appointed Dave Penney as their new assistant manager. The former Doncaster and Bristol Rovers boss briefly had Bulls boss Martin Foyle as a coach in 2011. Aldershot forward Danny Hylton, who was made redundant by the club, has signed a two year deal with Rotherham with an option of a third year. 

Coventry's Administrator has picked a bid associated with SISU to take control of the club again. Paul Appleton said the bid, led by three former club directors, offered the best return to creditors. Fans have criticised Appleton's handling of the Administration since being appointed by SISU in the first place.

Lincoln are reported to be lining up former Mansfield striker Nick Wright as a replacement for Crewe signing Valdane Oliver. Wright, 25, started only four Conference games after signing from Kidderminster last summer and is claimed to want a return to Aggborough after scoring 15 times the season before. Former Bull Ashley Sammons has signed for Worcester for the coming season. The former Birmingham trainee spent part of last season at St Georges Lane before injury ended his season.

Macclesfield are reported to have agreed a deal to sign defender Michael Thomas from Evo-Stik side Leek Town. The 20 year old was previously a trainee at Moss Rose under new manager John Askey, making ten first team appearances before leaving last summer. The Silkmen have also agreed a new contract with winger Jack Mackreth, with the 21 year old having started 18 times in the Conference last season.
