Chester On Verge Of Conference Return

The reformed Chester are on the verge of a return to the Conference, and can seal promotion this weekend.

The Chester City outfit dropped out of the fifth tier, and out of business, in February 2010. The fans reformed Chester FC and began a surge back up the divisions.

In it's three year history the club has lost only ten league games, winning the NPL Division One North and Premier Division, and now sitting on top of Conf North having lost only one match all season. They are on 100 points, with +71 goal difference, and will be virtually assured promotion if they beat Boston on Saturday - which would be their 30th league game without defeat.

Meanwhile another reformed club has also reached 100 points in its debut season. Darlington are top of Northern League Division One having scored 129 goals - with a +97 difference - but will have to wait for promotion as second placed Spennymoor still have 16 games to play in the league, plus two cup finals and a semi-final, in the next month.
