Stockport have appointed former Gateshead boss Ian Bogie as their new manager, shortly after dispensing with the services of Darije Kalezic.
The Hatters are just three points above the drop zone after taking just five points from the last 27. Kalezic lasted just 56 days and 12 games after being parachuted into the role by incoming CEO Ryan McKnight.
Bogie spent five years at Gateshead, getting them from the Northern Premier League, through Conf North, into the Conference in successive seasons before retaining their status for the last three years. He has signed a deal to the summer of 2014 and will be assisted by incumbent Head of Development Alan Lord for the remainder of this season.
Meanwhile, Newport's fixture list just got worse again with tomorrow's planned trip to York to face Gateshead postponed due to a waterlogged pitch. They now face playing 11 games in 28 days to complete the season on time.
