Mansfield beat Cambridge 3-1 to hold sixth and stay within reach, while Macclesfield also hold onto hope after a 2-1 win at Alfreton.
Down the bottom Ebbsfleet drew 0-0 with Stockport to cut their safety gap down to three points, while Barrow lost 2-1 to Nuneaton to stay in trouble with the Boro moving to within goal difference of Gateshead. Telford seem doomed after drawing 3-3 at home to Tamworth, who had Kyle Perry sent off, leaving them having played at least three games more than any of their rivals.
