Important To Bounce Back said Foyle

Teams About To Shake Hands
It was important to bounce back this afternoon at Cambridge after last Tuesday's poor performance at Ebbsfleet said Marton Foyle in his post match interview with BBC Hereford and Worcester.

"I'm delighted to go home with three points," said the Hereford United manager.

"Any win on your travels is a good win. It was important in this run of three away games which are very hard games and another one on Tuesday.

"The pitch was a little bit lively to start, a high bounce rather than a dead one, and we struggled to adapt. We did look leggy.

"It was a good team performance in the second half and I'm delighted to go home with the three points.

"Cambridge caused us a lot of problems, some good balls into the box but again the two centre halves were outstanding.

"I had a right go go at half-time but the response was very good."

Cambridge took the lead but just before half-time the Bulls equalised.

"It came in and like I said he put his hand up which was a very strange way to defend it. And he didn't book him!

Marlon Jackson 'Running With The Ball'
"Marlon came on (subbed for Sharp). He's got that knack of running with the ball, he's eats up space and probably holds it up better than the other two. But his game is different from the other two.

"But he came on and broke away and it was a penalty, bad decision by the defender to take him out.

"And that just gave us the life-line and they didn't really hurt us after that."
